What is TET?

TET stands for Transendoscopic Enteral Tubing, which refers to the procedure of implanting and securing a tube deep into the intestines with the aid of an endoscope, with the external end of the tube communicating with the outside along the intestines. It generally includes colonic approach TET and nasoenteric approach TET, both of which can be retained in the intestines for an extended period for administering medication deep into the intestines and dynamically obtaining intestinal biological samples.”

Who made a request for help?
The attending doctor of the patient must put forward the rescue needs and provide disease information to the selected fmtbank, and the fmtbank experts who accept the rescue need to decide whether or not to provide rescue through the patient’s attending doctor’s further understanding of the patient.
Note: except for the attending doctor who is directly responsible to the patient, the application for rescue submitted by others will not be accepted.

Why should we emphasize the standardization of the fecal bacteria preparation process?

Humanized and standardized preparation of fecal bacteria is a common demand of medical technicians and patients. Protecting operators is very important. We use intelligent systems instead of manual treatment of feces to provide quality-controlled, technically reliable, highly purified, and quantifiable flora. At the same time, technicians are also willing to carry out this technology under human conditions. Whether using fresh fecal bacteria, frozen fecal bacteria, or preparing freeze-dried preparations ( such as capsules ), GMP standards are achieved in the process. Due to the heterogeneity of fecal sources, it is impossible to prepare samples of all batches of fecal bacteria. FMT Medical ( Nanjing ) has developed the world ‘s first intelligent microbial separation system to provide non-profit technical support for laboratory-standardized fecal bacteria preparation.

How to transport and store?

We will start the rescue plan in time after receiving help. Our samples should be stored in a -20 or -80℃  refrigerator. The thawing process generally does not exceed 1 hour. Please refer to the instructions provided by the fecal microbiota library. All samples were transported by dry ice. Upon arrival, the sample should be immediately transferred to a -20 or -80℃ refrigerator. If there is no -20℃ refrigerator, it is recommended to apply only one therapeutic dose at a time.

How to pay?

At present, there is no charging standard in most areas of China, and it cannot be charged directly from the hospital charging system. In order not to affect the timely rescue, for areas where the fee catalog is not yet perfect, it can be considered to implement the first treatment and then solve the payment; fecal microbiota transplantation does not intervene and cannot intervene in the fees that may be charged due to fecal microbiota transplantation. The direct service of the fecal microbiota library is for hospitals that need fecal microbiota samples and receive remittances from hospitals; conditional units can also accept donations. It should be noted that the rescue fecal bacteria bank outlets are non-profit, and patients only pay for basic expenses such as inspection, materials, and energy consumption.
